Cinematic brand identity & music worldbuilding
Building a fictional music entity across sound, identity, characters and digital experience.

01 / The challenge
AEØNEX began as a psychedelic and progressive-rock project, but the design challenge was larger than an album identity. AI could accelerate exploration, image-making and prototyping, yet it could easily flatten the work into familiar generated aesthetics. The task was to use AI as a new creative instrument without giving up the human premise, judgement, narrative logic or visual consistency.
The system also needed to create a recognizable fictional entity without relying on a conventional performer portrait, while remaining flexible enough for future releases and multimedia chapters.

02 / Design & delivery process
The project followed the same disciplined process used for brand and product work: define the idea, test a distinct territory, build the system across priority touchpoints and govern it through release.
Define the project thesis, audience, release channels and creative-production constraints.

Every output belongs to the same narrative world, while each medium contributes a different part of the experience.
A restrained wordmark and symbolic language designed to behave across cinematic, editorial and digital settings.
Artwork, titles and release graphics that present each signal as a chapter inside the same universe.
Non-human characters that give the project presence without turning it into a conventional artist portrait.
A web and social system connecting discovery, story, music and future releases.
Cinematic imagery, visual effects and sound-responsive concepts that extend the identity through time.
Directed experimentation used to expand image-making and iteration while preserving one authored visual system.

04 / Digital experience
The website translates the project’s AI-driven premise into interaction. A cinematic transmission intro, layered typography, ambient sound controls, persistent playback and archive-like navigation make the digital experience part of the fictional world rather than a conventional music landing page.

The narrative language defines what the interface should feel like before layout and components are designed.
AI expands visual and motion possibilities, while art direction filters them through one recognizable system.
Sound, transitions, archive behaviour and signal states carry the brand beyond static graphics.
The interface work translates AEØNEX into responsive web and mobile experiences. Each study tests how narrative, characters, sound and discovery can remain coherent across different screen sizes.
The sitemap separates album discovery, entity lore, archive material, lyrics and listening destinations while keeping them inside one continuous experience.

05 / Persona design
The characters act as narrative anchors rather than celebrity portraits. Their recurring forms, materials and silhouettes give AEØNEX a recognizable presence across editorial images, performance scenes and release content.

05B / Character development
Pose, expression and performance studies turn two recurring figures into a flexible narrative system. The images show development work—not just final character renders—and demonstrate how the cast can remain recognizable across different scenes and emotional states.

06 / Creative technology
AI-assisted experimentation supports image-making, motion concepts and rapid iteration inside a directed creative system. The project is governed through concept, art direction, identity decisions, curation and consistent production standards, not a collection of unrelated generated images.
07 / Release system
The debut album became the first complete test of the brand: artwork, persona, typography, cinematic imagery and digital communication had to read as one release while leaving room for the next chapter.

08 / Outcome
A coherent universe.
Built to evolve.
